Wesoła balcony enclosure – aluminium side frames measuring 205.9 × 273.5 cm and 206.4 × 271.3 cm, Wesoła

In Wesoła, we installed a side balcony enclosure comprising two aluminium frames measuring 205.9 × 273.5 cm and 206.4 × 271.3 cm. We divided both frames in half and finished them in RAL 7016.
For the enclosure of the Wesoła balcony, we used an aluminium frame structure with horizontal panelling, tailored to fit the existing balcony recess. The whole structure was built without a roof – we focused on providing side protection for the balcony and enhancing privacy.

Two aluminium frames create a distinct, orderly enclosure along the sides of the balcony. The RAL 7016 colour blends well with the light-coloured façade and the existing balustrade, whilst the horizontal pattern of the infill panels echoes the divisions already visible on the building.This type of balcony enclosure allows the space to be screened off from the side without enclosing it from above. In this project, the most important elements were the bespoke aluminium side frames, made to measure and fitted to the existing balcony structure.

What have the owners gained?

1. A visually unobtrusive side screen that doesn’t „overwhelm” the balcony
   The structure covers only the side of the balcony (without a roof), so it does not transform the space into an enclosed loggia. At the same time, it clearly encloses the recess on the side that required shelter and better organisation.
2. Greater privacy and better separation of the area along the wall
   Side panels restrict views from neighbouring directions and help to create a more private area on the balcony. This is a practical solution, particularly in multi-family housing, where the balcony serves as an additional, everyday living space within the home.
3. Comfort on sunny days thanks to light filtering
   The horizontal infill elements create a distinctive pattern of shadows on the wall and floor, which softens the effect of harsh, directional light. The balcony remains bright, but becomes more sheltered and more pleasant for a short rest or for working whilst having direct access to the outdoors.
4. A consistent colour scheme and a durable aluminium finish
   Frame and paintwork in RAL 7016 They ensure a uniform, consistent appearance across the entire structure. The aluminium construction is well-suited to outdoor conditions and helps to maintain the balcony’s aesthetic appeal over time.
5. Increase in property value
   Side fittings, tailored to match both the dimensions and colour scheme, help to organise the balcony and enhance its functionality in everyday use. This improves the overall impression of the flat and increases the property’s appeal.

This project combines a simple, technical form with a clear practical benefit: it screens the side of the balcony and organises the recess without interfering with the upper part (no roof). A consistent finish in RAL 7016 It emphasises the building’s geometry and harmonises well with the light-coloured façade and the lines of the balustrade. This is a project in which functionality goes hand in hand with form.
