Wooden pergola, 350 x 500 cm, in Łubowo This is a project we carried out for a client looking for a permanent roof over the seating area by their home. We constructed the structure from wood stained to resemble Argentine rosewood, and covered the roof with milky-coloured multi-wall polycarbonate. Measuring 350 × 500 cm, the pergola organises the terrace space, provides shelter from the rain and helps to maintain a bright, well-lit relaxation area.
The client wanted a canopy that would allow them to use the terrace in changeable weather, but without creating a dark space next to the house. We therefore built a wooden structure in Argentine rosewood colour and fitted a roof made of milky-coloured multi-wall polycarbonate.
The colour of the wood complements the brown joinery and roof details well, ensuring that the pergola maintains a colour scheme consistent with the building’s architecture. The simple form of the structure brings order to the terrace area, whilst the milky polycarbonate diffuses the light and helps to keep the space under the canopy bright throughout the day.
The roof, made of milky-coloured multi-wall polycarbonate, protects the terrace from the rain, so owners can enjoy the relaxation area even in less stable weather. It’s easier to plan a family lunch, a get-together with friends or a quiet break without having to constantly move the garden furniture around.
The milky polycarbonate we use effectively diffuses light. This prevents the pergola from feeling like a dark alcove, a problem that often arises with solid roofing. The terrace remains bright and pleasant for everyday use.
We painted the wooden structure in Argentine rosewood. This colour scheme blends in well with the brown elements of the façade and the joinery, which is why the pergola looks like a natural extension of the house, rather than a separate structure added later.
The client did not require any side enclosures, so we left the area fully open to the garden. This makes the space under the pergola airy and easy to arrange, allowing the furniture and accessories to be positioned as desired.
The wooden pergola we built has enhanced the functionality of the area around the house and tidied up the terrace space. This solution improves the comfort of everyday use and enhances the property’s appeal.
In Łubowo, we built a 350 × 500 cm wooden pergola with a roof made of milky-coloured multi-wall polycarbonate. The client now has protection from the rain without having to sacrifice the natural light under the canopy. The combination of Argentine rosewood-coloured timber and milky polycarbonate has created a functional, bright and visually cohesive relaxation area next to the house.
