The terrace enclosure at Duczki

The design of the Duczki terrace shows that building in a space does not necessarily mean it will be darker. Yes – in this case, the terrace is actually better lit. The frosted polycarbonate we’ve used shields the vestibule from wind and rain, whilst evenly diffusing natural light.

The result? There are no harsh shadows inside, the sun’s rays do not dazzle the eyes, and the space remains bright all day long. The photos show how, even with the panels closed, a large amount of natural light still reaches the interior.

The development comprises side panels produced using the system aluminium, with a frame made of aluminium powder-coated in the colour RAL 7016 DS. This design encloses the terrace area from the side, organises the space leading out to the garden and allows the terrace to be used flexibly depending on the conditions and the needs of the household.

The simple geometry of the profiles and the dark colour scheme RAL 7016 DS They clearly outline the building’s form against the light-coloured façade, ensuring that the whole design harmonises with the building’s structure and complements the door frames. The upper line of the structure guides the eye along the levels of the façade, whilst the slender divisions of the profiles organise the view from the terrace, preserving the modern, minimalist character of the area around the house.

What have the owners gained?

1. A side terrace screen that doesn’t take up any space
   The side extension encloses the terrace on the garden side and creates a more sheltered corner for everyday relaxation. This layout makes it easier to organise a relaxation area just outside the house and allows you to make use of the terrace in a more structured way.

   Aluminium construction in colour RAL 7016 DS It creates a distinct yet simple frame against the light-coloured plaster. This makes the structure look like a natural part of the house’s architecture, rather than a separate „addition” to the terrace.
