Side enclosure for the Raszyn terrace

More privacy, less direct draught and the option to adjust the awning to suit the weather — without completely enclosing the terrace. The adjustable slats allow you to control the amount of light coming through, so you can decide whether you want to provide more shelter for your relaxation area or open it up to the garden and natural light.

For this project, we installed an enclosure along one side of the terrace, measuring 207.7 × 231 cm. The frame was divided into two sections and filled with horizontal aluminium slats. The frame and slats are in RAL 7021 MAT, whilst the handles are in RAL 7016. The structure is complemented by a 100 × 50 mm aluminium beam, 250 cm in length.

Raszyn terrace enclosure – greater privacy without bulky structures

The horizontal slats provide shade, but do not block the light or the view of the garden from the terrace. They can be adjusted to a more open position when you want a draught and a view, or closed more tightly when you need greater privacy.

The dark RAL 7021 MAT finish neatly defines the side of the terrace and complements the building’s modern features. The result is simple and functional: the terrace remains open, yet becomes more comfortable for everyday use.

   The side structure screens the seating area from the neighbours, making it easier to enjoy the terrace freely on a daily basis. The arrangement of the horizontal slats acts as a visual filter — it limits direct views but does not completely enclose the space.

   The graphite-coloured frame in RAL 7021 MAT emphasises the geometry of the terrace and complements the light-coloured façade and the darker accents of the structure. As a result, the side structure is not a random addition, but an element that brings order to the entire area around the house.

   A permanent side enclosure enhances the functionality of the terrace and improves the appeal of the entire outdoor living area. It is a practical feature that helps convey the property as a well-finished and ready-to-use space.

This design combines a practical terrace side screen with the aesthetic appeal of a modern aluminium form. Matt graphite RAL 7021 It organises the composition and maintains harmony with the house’s architecture, whilst the horizontal arrangement of the slats creates an intimate atmosphere without making the space feel „closed off”.
