What are the moving boards in the OpenUp system?
Are you looking for a way to building up the side walls of a terrace, balcony or shedthat allows you to regulate the light and ventilation yourself? Movable boards are a solution that combines durability, simplicity of installation and freedom of use. In our shop you will find ready-to-use kits with the OpenUp system, which allows you to build a wall in wood or aluminium with the function of manually rotating each board or slat.
How does the mechanism for moving boards work?
The basis of the set is the OpenUp System handles - a set of left and right elements made of refined polycarbonate. Each has six sockets that allow moving elements to be inserted. One set allows you to create a 58.2 cm high wall. If you wish to achieve a full side wall, simply mount the subsequent modules one above the other.

 Thanks to the movable board mechanism, you are free to adjust:
- light supply,
- air circulation,
- the level of visibility of what is on the terrace or balcony.
The whole thing works without power - the boards and laths move manually. No cables, springs or electrics are needed. This solution will be particularly appreciated by people who want to create a well-thought-out wall structure in a pergola, gazebo or canopy structure without unnecessary complications.

The OpenUp handle family consists of handles made of polypropylene refined with additives in five colours:
black (RAL 9005), anthracite (RAL 7016), white (RAL 9003), dark brown (RAL 8016), light brown (RAL 8024). The OpenUp moving board mechanism is resistant to temperature, UV radiation, humidity. It is guaranteed for 24 months.
The OpenUp system works well with both timber and aluminium structures. You can use it to enclose a wall pergola, freestanding pergola, balcony or shed. Customers are particularly keen to use this solution in areas that require shelter from the wind or neighbours.
Why choose OpenUp kits to make patio blinds?
When you buy the sets, you immediately receive a fitting filling in the form of 9.8 × 2 cm boards or 9.9 × 1.95 cm aluminium fins. The matching pieces allow the boards or lamellas to fold into a smooth wall. You can, of course, use boards without grooving, but then you get a "toothed" wall.
The kits are available in several material options - you can choose wood or aluminium, painted, unpainted or woodgrain. All products are factory-fitted to the system - we do not sell boards or slats alone. Only complete solutions ensure the correct functioning of the mobile system.
