Permanent glazed terrace cladding

Permanent glazed terrace cladding

Permanent glazed terrace cladding

Fixed terrace cladding with 10 mm ESG glass is a solution designed to permanently enclose the side walls of a terrace, pergola or canopy. The glass panes are permanently mounted in frames. This permanent glass enclosure provides protection against wind and rain and also partially reduces noise. We recommend permanent glass cladding wherever priority is given to stability, tightness and resistance of construction, and not the ability to open or adjust the cover.

Use of fixed glazing

A fixed glass enclosure will work well:

  • as a side screen for a terrace or pergola,
  • in areas exposed to strong winds,
  • where there is no need to open the walls seasonally,
  • in projects requiring an aesthetically pleasing, durable partition.

Frameless or frameless glass system - what is the difference?

The choice between frameless and frameless fixed glass is a decision between maximum transparency a higher tightness and structural rigidity. Both solutions have a different function and will work well in different operating conditions.

Fixed frameless glass enclosure

  • the development consists of large glass panes mounted without vertical frame profiles,
  • glass is embedded and stabilised in the lower and upper mounting profile,
  • between the panes of glass there are no vertical divisions, Only the edges of the glass are visible.

What you gain

  • maximum transparency and an open view,
  • a modern, minimalist visual effect,
  • an optically lightweight development that does not dominate the body of the building.

Fixed frame glass enclosure

  • each sheet of glass is located in an individual frame (aluminium or wood),
  • frames are connected in a rigid, coherent structure,
  • it is possible painting of profiles in any RAL colour or the use of timber frames.

What you gain

  • higher tightness - better protection against wind, rain and cold,
  • greater structural rigidity,
  • the possibility of better matching the development to the style of the building, pergola or canopy,
  • a stable solution for intensive, year-round use.

Technical details - fixed glass

Permanent construction is carried out using 10 mm thick tempered ESG glass.

System parameters:

  • glass type: ESG 10 mm (toughened),
  • maximum frame height: 280 cm,
  • maximum width of one module: 200 cm,
  • frame construction: aluminium or wood,
  • profiles and fittings: can be painted in any RAL colour,
  • wooden frame: can be painted in a colour from the manufacturer's sampler.

Glass can be:

  • mounted sheet next to sheet with a gap of 5 mm,
  • or combined using H„ profile”, which seals the joint between the panes.

The choice of jointing method depends on the technical conditions and the expected degree of tightness.

Fixed glazing is not a sliding system and does not allow the walls to be opened. If you want to be able to push back or adjust the cover, at least partially, we can combine a fixed and a sliding system.

Important distinction between permanent solutions

Beyond fixed terrace cladding with glass we also offer other variants permanent buildings, tailored to different needs and budgets. Our offer includes fixed polycarbonate terrace cladding, a lighter and more cost-effective alternative to glass, as well as permanent terrace cladding with aluminium blinds, The design of the terrace is based on the use of a protective barrier that provides shelter while maintaining ventilation. During the quotation, we will help you choose the solution that best suits the technical conditions and the use of the terrace.

    Questions and answers

Would you like to know how much a terrace enclosure and its installation costs? Call us, write to us and arrange a quote.
Our specialist will advise on the material and construction technique to suit your needs.

Is a fixed glass enclosure a conservatory?

No. A fixed glass building does not provide as much thermal insulation as a conservatory and is not designed for year-round use in winter conditions. It is a sheltering solution, not an insulated structure.

Can fixed glass cladding be combined with other materials?

Yes. Fixed glazing can be combined with other siding elements, such as aluminium louvres or fixed panels, depending on the design and technical conditions.

Do you install fixed glass enclosures on balconies?

We do not carry out the installation of fixed glass buildings on balconies. Systems of this type are designed for terraces, pergolas and gazebos.

Are there alternatives to fixed glazing on offer?

Yes. Depending on your needs, we also offer:

fixed polycarbonate cladding, as a lighter and more budget-friendly option,

fixed aluminium louvre cladding, providing cover while maintaining ventilation.

How do I choose the right permanent housing option?

The choice of solution depends on the location of the terrace, exposure to wind and sun and usage expectations. During the quotation, we help you to select the material and construction best suited to the space.
