Aluminium canopy, 350 × 678 cm, Rybienko Stare

In Rybienko Stare, we installed an aluminium canopy measuring 350 × 678 cm, which covered the terrace area by the front door and organised the usable space directly adjacent to the façade. We constructed the structure from RAL 7016-coloured aluminium and finished the profiles with a D1P7 paint finish. We covered the roof with milky multi-wall polycarbonate, which protects against the elements and effectively diffuses light. We completed the whole structure with a simple fascia, LED lighting and side triangles.

We have adapted the design to complement the light-coloured façade, so that the dark RAL 7016 profiles clearly define the area around the large patio doors and create a geometric frame for the exit to the garden. The aluminium colour harmonises with the building’s graphite-coloured elements, such as the roof and guttering, whilst the milky multi-wall polycarbonate provides bright, diffused light beneath the canopy. The side triangles complete the structure at the corners, emphasising the simple form and the cohesion of the entire development.

What have the owners gained?

Terrace ready for use despite changeable weather

We have fitted a roof made of milky multi-wall polycarbonate, which effectively shields the seating area from the rain. This means the owners can freely use the table and chairs on the terrace whatever the weather. The diffused light reduces harsh contrasts and ensures that the space remains bright even when it is partly cloudy.

Comfort after dark thanks to LED lighting

We have fitted the canopy with LED lighting, which makes it comfortable to use the terrace in the evening – for family dinners, get-togethers with loved ones or a moment’s rest after a long day. A constant source of light enhances the functionality of this space at any time of day.

A cohesive and well-organised area along the façade

We opted for aluminium in RAL 7016, which creates a distinct, architectural line against the building’s light-coloured wall and helps to organise the space by the garden entrance. We have refined the details with a simple cover, ensuring that the canopy aesthetically completes the terrace area and gives it a uniform character.

Better closure of the solid thanks to the side triangles

We have incorporated side triangles, which define the corners of the structure and emphasise its geometric character. It is a small detail that contributes to the cohesive appearance of the entire project and highlights the modern look of the canopy.

By installing a permanent terrace canopy, we have enhanced the functionality of the space around the house, which also adds to the property’s appeal. The aluminium structure, finished to the D1P7 standard, ensures durability and an attractive appearance for many years of daily use.

Why did we choose multi-wall polycarbonate?

For this project, we opted for milky multi-wall polycarbonate, as it combines effective protection for the terrace with the comfort of everyday use. The material diffuses light well, ensuring that no harsh shadows are cast beneath the canopy and that the space remains bright even on cloudy days. This solution is appreciated by homeowners who wish to use their terrace for family meals, gatherings with loved ones or simply to relax in the fresh air. Furthermore, the milky-coloured roof blends harmoniously with the home’s modern architecture and does not overwhelm the building’s structure.

This project demonstrates how we combine practical terrace protection with a design that complements the building’s architecture. The dark RAL 7016 structure adds structure to the light-coloured façade, whilst the milky multi-wall polycarbonate provides pleasant, diffused light beneath the canopy. Accessories such as the straight cover, side triangles and LED lighting functionally and visually complete the overall design.
