Modern terrace construction with the OpenUp system

In this implementation, we made terrace roofing measuring 300 x 406 cm, based on a sturdy aluminium structure powder-coated in RAL 7016. The whole has been integrated into the modern body of the detached house, providing protection from the sun and precipitation and making better use of the space next to the building. The aluminium frame was mounted directly to the façade and set on two external columns, preserving a large usable area under the roof.

Functional roof in milk polycarbonate

The canopy was made from 16 mm thick multi-chamber panels. In this implementation, the client chose the milky version, which diffuses daylight and prevents the terrace from overheating on sunny days. Multi-cell polycarbonate is lightweight, durable and UV-resistant. The slope of the roof allows rainwater to drain freely, and a concealed gutter system takes care of the aesthetics of the structure.

Side triangles and laths in RAL 9006 colour

On the sides of the canopy, triangular polycarbonate panels were installed to fill the spaces between the roof and the side wall of the terrace. This solution protects against gusts of wind and gives the structure a closed, orderly character. Fixed cover panels appeared in the lower wall sections, and movable laths were installed above. aluminium OpenUp in RAL 9006. The mechanism allows for manual setting of the tilt angle and adjustment of the sun and ventilation.

Frame divisions and technical details of construction

The side enclosure consists of two sections. The first section is 300 cm wide and 250 cm high, divided into three fields. The second section of the structure is 200 cm wide and divided into two modules. The whole is assembled in the OpenUp system using brackets made of anthracite-coloured plastic (RAL 7016), which harmonise with the pergola structure. No lighting was used in this implementation, but the design leaves open the possibility of future expansion with LED lamps or powering the side walls.

Aesthetics and functionality in one solution

The overall design combines modern aesthetics with a practical approach to the terrace space. The structure is durable, weather-resistant and maintenance-free. Movable laths allow you to adjust the amount of light and shield the interior from the outside eye, creating a private, comfortable relaxation area.
